A Magical Milestone: Be Our Guest Takes the Ice

What an unforgettable evening.

On June 6, Ice in Paradise was transformed into an enchanted world as audiences joined us for Be Our Guest On Ice, a reimagined skating spectacle inspired by the music of Beauty and the Beast. Presented by Jeanne and Jinelle Productions, the show brought together storytelling, theatrical performance, and figure skating in a way that was unlike anything we have ever produced before.

The response exceeded even our highest expectations.

The performance sold out, the audience filled the rink with energy and enthusiasm, and as the final bow concluded, the cast was rewarded with standing ovations. One of the most rewarding moments of the evening came afterward, when audience members stopped us to ask the same question again and again:

"When is the next show?"

For our skaters, coaches, volunteers, and production team, there could not have been a better compliment.

While Ice in Paradise has proudly hosted annual holiday shows and skating recitals for many years, Be Our Guest marked a significant new chapter for our program. Traditionally, our performances have featured a collection of individual numbers, allowing skaters to showcase their personal routines, skills, and accomplishments. Those events remain an important celebration of our athletes and their progress.

This production, however, was something entirely different.

Be Our Guest was our first-ever full-length theatrical production—a cohesive story brought to life on the ice from beginning to end. Rather than a series of unrelated performances, every skater became part of a larger creative vision. Characters, music, choreography, costumes, and storytelling combined to create an immersive experience that invited audiences into a magical world and kept them engaged from the opening moments through the final curtain call.

Producing a full-length show required months of planning, collaboration, creativity, and dedication. Our skaters embraced the challenge with remarkable commitment, learning not only choreography and technical elements, but also how to portray characters and tell a story through movement. The result was a performance that showcased not only athletic skill, but artistry, teamwork, and passion.

Most importantly, it demonstrated what is possible when a community comes together around a shared vision.

We are incredibly grateful to every skater, coach, volunteer, staff member, family member, sponsor, and audience member who helped make this production such a success. Your support turned an ambitious idea into a magical reality.

As we reflect on this milestone, we are filled with pride—not only for what was accomplished on the ice, but for the excitement it has generated for the future. The sold-out crowd, the standing ovations, and the enthusiastic calls for another production have shown us that our community is eager for more storytelling on ice.
