At Ice in Paradise, we’ve always believed that the magic of our rink extends far beyond the ice. From the laughter of kids taking their first strides to the teamwork of local hockey leagues and the joy of family skating nights, we see every day how our rink brings people together. Now, we’re excited to bring that same sense of connection online—with our brand-new Community Connections Blog!

This new corner of our website will highlight all the ways Ice in Paradise is involved in and inspired by our amazing community. We’ll share stories, photos, and updates about how we’re skating beyond our walls to make a difference and celebrate the people who make our community so special.

Here’s what you can look forward to:

• Out and About in the Community: Catch up on our outreach efforts at local events like Boo at the Zoo, the Goleta Lemon Festival, and Meet Me in Old Town. We love bringing the Ice in Paradise spirit to community celebrations and can’t wait to share behind-the-scenes moments from these events.

• Partnerships That Make a Difference: We’re proud to partner with local organizations that share our passion for community connection—like the Goleta and Black-Gold Library system, where you can enjoy free skating once a month, or the Santa Barbara Library system, where you can even check out free skating passes! You’ll also hear about our collaborations with the South Coast Chamber of Commerce and charitable events such as our Food Bank Skate, where 20% of proceeds support the Santa Barbara County Food Bank.

• Celebrating Our Skating Family: Our community is full of talented, inspiring people whose achievements go far beyond the rink. This blog will spotlight stories like an adult hockey player’s art exhibit opening, a high school figure skater starring in their school play, and other ways our Ice in Paradise family shines in the wider world.
