Dad Meetup at Ice in Paradise: Learn to Skate and Open Skate – April 19

Dads and kids are encouraged to skate together at our Dad Meetup on April 19th!

Ice in Paradise is excited to welcome local families for a special Dad Meetup on the ice this April. Hosted in partnership with the Santa Barbara Dads Group, this relaxed community event is designed for dads and kids to spend quality time together while trying something fun and active.

Whether you’re brand new to skating or already comfortable on the ice, this meetup is a great opportunity to learn, skate, and connect with other families in the community.

Time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Location: Ice in Paradise, 6985 Santa Felicia Drive, Goleta

Cost: Free to attend (skating, snacks, and drinks available for purchase)

What to Expect

The event kicks off with a 30-minute group Learn-to-Skate lesson, giving dads and kids a chance to build confidence on the ice together. After the lesson, participants can enjoy open skating for the remainder of the session, practicing their skills or simply having fun gliding around the rink.

This meetup is designed to be welcoming and low-pressure:

• Open skate time afterward

• All skill levels welcome

• First-time skaters encouraged to join

The Santa Barbara Dads Group organizes events throughout the community to help dads connect with their kids and with each other. This meetup at Ice in Paradise provides a fun environment for families to stay active, try something new, and build friendships with other local families.
