Our Third Annual Sk8 to Elimin8 Cancer Frozen 5k event was held on April 7, 2024 and we couldn't be more proud of our community for coming together for such a good cause. Frank Anderson has been selected as Ice in Paradise's 2023 Volunteer of the Year. Frank Anderson can be found volunteering at Ice in Paradise, on and off the ice. This year, Frank has spent countless hours documenting, fixing, and maintaining our lighting system for our events, as well as our audio systems. He has even fixed some of our house lights! After 18 years of dedicated service to Ice in Paradise, Steve Heinze has decided to step down from his position as Board Member and President of the Greater Santa Barbara Ice Skating Association. Steve has been around ice rinks indoors and out since he started skating in his backyard at the age of five in North Andover, Massachusetts. He is a graduate of Boston College where he was an All American Ice Hockey player and has been elected to the BC Hall of Fame. Ice hockey has
